BBC Radio Scotland - The Quay Sessions
Hi! Just a quick November note re an exciting addition to the Daintees tour up in Scotland. Tonight (Weds 1/11) Martin and the band are recording a set in front of a studio audience which will be broadcast on Radio Scotland tomorrow evening (Thurs 2/11) on the Roddy Hart show between 9pm and 11pm. Here's the link for the web site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05x1ylt
It's been a while since The Daintees where live on the Beeb and what's even more exciting is it is going to be filmed for future TV broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland Online and the BBC iPlayer. Will keep you informed on that as soon as we know just exactly when and where you can access it.
And now the tour continues back in the UK. Tickets are selling very well, and a bit of inside information, if you are thinking of going to either of the Sheffield dates this week then please book now. It's a lovely small venue and hence is very close to selling out. Link here for Friday!
Bayswater Road on Bandcamp
And finally we've updated the Bandcamp site so that you can order physical CD copies of Bayswater Road directly from it as well as downloads etc. Hopefully making it all a bit slicker!
All for now, enjoy the tour if you can get there.
Martin, John, Chris and Kate commenced the tour in Waterford last Friday and then travelled down to Leap in Cork; specifically to play a small gig at Connolly's. This is a special place for Martin as it is where he, along with a bunch of mainly Irish musician friends, recorded the classic album Beyond The Leap, Beyond The Law back in 1996.
By all accounts the musical atmosphere was just as wonderful all over again. If you're ever in the area then you must pop in. Read about Connolly's history here. It's a heartwarming read overall.
