Bayswater Road is on Fire!
The Reviews Are In!
Hi! And errr apologies for those of a nervous disposition, no need to call the emergency services etc,... I simply mean that the Daintees new album is getting great reviews, and add to that the great reception for the tour and the BBC Scotland Quay Sessions performance and it seems that some much overdue plaudits and attention are coming the way of Martin and the band.
The highly influential No Depression site - "The Bard Of Brady Square Blows The Boat To Bolivia Out Of The Water!"
Fatea Magazine - "for those of us who’ve followed him across his 35 year career, it’s like coming home to hot buttered toast"
Ralph's Life Indie Mag - "it's a must have for any serious music lover's collection"
Folking.com - "It’s different, sometimes quirky and always clever. I guess that’s what Martin Stephenson is all about."
Tickets are selling very well, and continues through until 3rd December.
Bandcamp and Twitter
So... if you've not got the new album yet then it is available for physical purchase from Bandcamp - Bayswater Road .
Also we've just added the Boat To Bolivia 30th Anniversary album on CD that was released last year. An excellent revisiting of a classic album, matured quite beautifully over the years.
Just one final thing, if any of you are followers of Martin on Twitter @MGStephenson, then it would be really helpful if you could RT and Like to your hearts content, any tweets relating to Bayswater Road.
Thanks for your support.
TV and Radio
You will recall we mentioned last time that Martin and The Daintees were appearing on the Roddy Hart Quay Sessions show on BBC Scotland. Well it was an absolute cracker of a gig as those of you who tuned in will no doubt agree, and as a rather special follow up those nice BBC people have put up a 20 minutes TV highlights show on the iPlayer. If anyone was in any doubt as to just how good this band are at the moment then tune in via the link below...and be aware it is only up for another 23 days *(as we type)
New song The Whisky is particularly marvellous!
The Quay Sessions
If that wasn't enough from Auntie Beeb, the very wonderful Tom Robinson will have Martin on as his guest this coming Saturday (18/11) at 9pm. Get it in your calendar. Tom is a long time supporter of Martin's so it's great that they are getting back together again on national radio.
