She walks in beauty

She walks in beauty, like the night

Thus mellowed to that tender light

Of cloudless clime and starry sky

Meet in her aspect and her eye

Which Heaven gaudy day deny

One shade the more one, ray the less

Which waves in every, raven tress

Had half impaired the nameless grace

Or softly lighten o’er her face

She walks in beauty, like the night

Thus mellowed to that tender light

And all that’s best of dark and bright

How pure how dear in lovers light

Which Heaven gaudy day deny
